Yes it's true. I'm a mommy.

Ha ha. Had YOU fooled. David and I are the proud "parents" of two scorpions named Grimm and Reaper. They were my present to David since he has been so cool with my whole Hedgehog obsession.

Ahhhhhhh! You are too interesting with your choice of pets, Rachel! Gawd! How does one take care of a scorpion and how do you tell the two apart? David is your beau?

It MUST be true love!

:-) Yup. I love the unique pets. Scorpions are easy to take care of for the most part (except for the constant monitoring of room temp.) I don't really do much with them though--except look at them under the black light (they glow green). David tells me Grimm is the little one (I think they are pretty close in size now. . .when we got them he was WAY smaller than the other one) and Reaper is the big one. Grimm is "shy." He stays under his log most of the time and runs away when we come in the room. Reaper seems to like to warm his hind end on the cage heater. He backs up to it and sits there. . I guess until he's the right temp! ;-) He is not quite as "shy." He stays out when we're in the room and will eat his crickets in the daylight sometimes. Yes. . .more than you EVER wanted to know about a scorpion! ;-) Hardy, har, har, har. At least I'll be able to hold my pet (when he/she finally arrives. Ugh I'm on a very long waiting list!). There's no way I'm going to try and hold the scorpions. . . . I think that David might try though and then I'll have to post photos! Yes--David is my beau! 10 years of non marital bliss. Livin' in sin as my brother would say.
